Transform Your Space with Houseplants

A Guide to Proper Lighting

Houseplants enhance indoor areas, adding vibrancy. To keep them healthy, it's essential to provide adequate light. This guide explains lighting conditions, optimal plant placements, and yearly care adjustments.

  • Direct Sunlight: Unfiltered sunlight, best near south-facing (or north-facing in the Southern Hemisphere) windows. Ideal for sun-loving plants.

Bright Indirect Light: Bright but not direct-light filtered through sheer curtains or nearby a sunny window. Soft shadows mean the spot is right.

Medium Light: Found near east-or west-facing windows with some obstruction. Brighter than low light, gentler than direct sun.

Low Light: Limited light, often away from windows or in shaded rooms. Suitable for adaptable, low-light plants.

Watch your plant’s response to light-scorched leaves mean too much, yellowing means too little. Adjust placement, rotate for even growth, and adapt to seasons. Use grow lights if needed. With care, your plant will thrive.
